Meet Carla: Your Host for Unforgettable Beach Days in Holland-on-Sea
Hi there! I’m Carla, founder of Beach Hut Hire Holland-on-Sea—your gateway to sun-soaked memories on Essex’s stunning coastline.
Beach hut life wasn’t part of the plan. Six years ago, my partner Phil spotted a “For Sale” sign on a weathered hut (affectionately named “Stripey”) after a magical summer with our kids. I’ll admit, I hesitated—returning to my graphic design career felt safer than restoring a mouldy hut! But Phil’s spontaneity paid off. We scrubbed, sanded, and revived Stripey, then decided to rent it out to offset costs. What started as a side project for friends quickly blossomed into a full-fledged passion.
Today, we proudly manage four vibrant beach huts—Blue J31, Lily J6, Stripey J13, and Yellow J37—each just 90 seconds apart on Holland-on-Sea’s pristine shores. Every hut is a labor of love, meticulously renovated by me, Phil, and my dad, Graham. We’ve equipped them with everything you need for a perfect day:

Thank you we had such a fabulous day. We have hired a few beach huts but we loved yours the most and the position right on the beach, no tide coming in, kids played all day! We will definitely be booking again soon. Thanks again!
We visited Holland-on-Sea and had a great time. We'd never been before but will definitely be back! For the first hour we had the beach to ourselves. Throughout the day there was only us and 3 other families on our section. It was bliss!
