Terms & Conditions

Hire times

Standard hire is from 9:00am to 6.30pm (5:00pm in October)

For two consecutive days, arrival on the first day can be from 9:00am to 10:00pm, with the following day 7:00am to 6:30pm/5:00pm in October.

 

If you're hiring for three consecutive days, arrival on the first day can be from 9:00am to 10:00pm, with the second day being 7:00am to 10:00pm, the third day being 7:00am to 6:30pm/5:00pm in October.....

Overnight stays are not permitted

Please leave the beach hut clean and vacate by the time indicated in your booking email

 

Check-In & Booking Confirmation

 

Your 'Check-In' date is the day you have access to the hut. The 'Check-Out' date is only used for website registration purposes

Bookings are only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email. Please check your inbox and junk folder

Occupancy

Maximum of 8 guests inside or directly outside each hut, in line with Tendring District Council commercial rules

Extra guests may use the beach, but large gatherings outside the hut or directly opposite are not permitted

 

Cancellations

You may cancel in writing at least 14 days before you booked date. Refunds will be issued minus a £15 administration fee, and may take up to 14 days to process. Email beachhuthollandonsea@hotmail.com with your booking reference

 

We reserve the right to cancel bookings to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will offer an alternative date if possible or a full refund 

Smoking & Barbecues

No smoking, candles, fires or barbecues are allowed in or around the huts or promenades

Responsibilities of the Hirer

The person making the booking must be over 18 and accompany the party

Guests are responsible for valuables; we cannot accept liability for loss or damage unless caused by our negligence

Radios are not permitted

Guests must respect boundaries with neighbouring huts and allow room for people on the promenade

Supervise children and the elderly at all times, particularly on the portable steps

Fire extinguisher and blanket are provided; dial 999 in emergencies

Keysafe & Security

Access via key safe; code and map will be emailed 48 hours before your booking. Check your junk folder!

After use, close the key safe shutter and scramble the numbers

Keys should remain in the safe throughout the day

On departure, the hut must be securely locked, bolted, and keys replaced in the key safe

Dogs

Maximum of 2 well behaved dogs per bookings

Dogs must be under control, off the furniture and not left alone

Please remove all traces of your dog's visit inside and outside

Beaches opposite the huts are dog-friendly all year round

Bad  Weather

No refunds are offered for bad weather or if you decide not to go

Departure

Leave the hut clean and ready for the next guest; washing up done, worktop and gas hob cleaned, gas bottle turned off, chairs and tables collapsed, bucket and spades cleaned, rubbish taken away and the floor swept 

Cleaning products are provided

Unreasonable condition may result in refusal of future bookings

Lost Property

Items left in the huts will be disposed of.Please double check before leaving

GDPR & Marketing

Guest information is held securely for booking purposes and financial compliance

Noise & Disturbance

Children must be supervised; no climbing on hut roofs!

Behaviour must be appropriate and family-friendly at all times

The Promenade

Rarely, authorised vehicles may drive along the promenade. Guests must supervise children at all times
