Hire times

Hire times are from 9am to 6.30pm, 5pm in October. Please leave the beach hut as you found it and vacate by the time indicated on your booking email. The beach huts cannot be used for overnight accommodation.

If you are booking for two consecutive days you can arrive from 9am to 10pm, then the following day arrive from 7am to 6.30pm/5pm in October. If you are booking more than three consecutive days, the first day is 9am to 10pm, followed by 7am to 10pm and the last day is 7am to 6.30pm/5pm in October. Please check the car park closing times online.

Occupancy

A​ maximum of 8 guests per beach hut, which includes all adults, children and babies inside and outside the beach hut.

 

This number must not be exceeded, as we have a commercial lease with Tendring District Council.

 

If you exceed this number you will be asked to leave. 

 

You must keep to the boundaries of the beach hut when the neighbouring huts are in use, in order not to encroach on our neighbours space.

Check In Date

When booking a beach hut date, your 'Check In' date is the date you have the beach hut, 9am to 6.30pm/5pm in October.

 

The 'Check Out' date is the following date and is only needed for our website to register your stay.

 

You only have the beach hut on the 'Check In' date.

Cancellation by you or us

​

We reserve the right to cancel any booking, in the event that we are unable to let the beach hut for reasons beyond our control. In this circumstance a full refund will be given.

​

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must give 14 days notice in writing. A refund (minus £15.00 for admin fees per booking) will be arranged. Refunds may take up to 14 days to be processed. Please email Carla at beachhuthollandonsea@hotmail.com

We reserve the right to cancel any booking, after giving notice to you, in the event that we are unable to let for reasons beyond our reasonable control or in circumstances where it would be unsuitable to use the hut. In these circumstances, we will endeavour to offer you an alternative date, subject to availability or a full refund.

Smoking & Bbq's

The burning of candles, fires, smoking and bbq's is strictly prohibited in and around the beach huts.  

​

Your Responsibilities

The person making the booking, is responsible for the beach hut, and MUST accompany the party, you must be over the age of 18 to book. 

 

Valuables should not be stored in the hut and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hirer’s property.

 

We do not accept liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or to your baggage, vehicles or contents unless proved to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves to the hirer or any member of the party.

 

No radios allowed. The sound of the sea is more than therapeutic.

​

Please allow room for people to pass on the promenade, directly in front of the beach hut.

 

Please be aware of the portable beach hut steps leading to the door of the hut and take every care to use them safely. Children and the elderly must be supervised at all times.

 

There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket inside the hut, please dial 999 in the event of a fire and take proper safety precautions.

Keysafe & Security

Access to the beach hut is via a key safe located on the side of the beach hut. The code and map will be emailed to you 48 hours before your booked date/s. Please check your junk folder. 

 

After opening the key safe, kindly close the shutter and scramble the numbers.

 

Please place the padlocks and keys inside as soon as you have opened up. We recommend placing the keys in the key safe at all times when away from the hut to ensure they are not lost whilst on the beach.

​

On leaving, the hut must be securely locked, bolted and the keys replaced in the key safe, the shutter to the safe closed and the numbers scrambled.

​

Dogs

Two well-behaved dogs are allowed per booking. Please keep your dogs under control at all times and, in particular, please minimise noise. Please keep the dogs off the furniture and they must not be left alone in the beach hut.

 

You are expected to remove all traces (inside and outside) of your dog’s visit.

 

The beaches opposite the huts are dog friendly all year round.

 

Restrictions exist on certain sections of the beach, particularly around The Beach Haven Cafe.

Covid Restrictions

If your date/s is disrupted and we can't open due to government lockdown restrictions, you will receive a FULL refund.

​

Bad Weather

Unfortunately, we cannot offer bad weather refunds for dates that you do not use, or if you decide not to go. 

​

Departure

Please leave the beach hut clean and ready for the next guest.

 

This includes all washing up done and neatly put away in the cupboards, please don't leave it on the worktop.

 

The worktop and gas stove must be wiped over, and the gas bottle turned off.

 

Bucket and spades must be cleaned and replaced back in the box, chairs and tables collapsed.

 

All rubbish must be taken away with you and the floor swept.

 

We provide all cleaning products for this purpose and would appreciate your cooperation.
 

If the beach huts are left in unreasonable condition, we will refuse future bookings.

​

Lost Property

Any guest items that are left in the beach huts will be disposed off. Please double-check the hut before you leave. 

​

GDPR

The information that we are recording is for the purposes of providing you with the hire of one of our beach huts for a specified period.

 

It will be held securely on our computer system in the event of future correspondence and in compliance with financial legislation on the retention of financial transactions.

 

If you don't want to receive marketing emails, please let us know at beachhuthollandonsea@hotmail.com and we will remove you from our database.

Noise and Disturbance

Please ensure children are supervised around the beach huts and that no guests climb on hut roofs.

 

Please remember this is a family environment and appropriate behavior is expected at all times. 

​

The Promenade 

Very rarely authorised vehicles may drive along the promenade. Please keep an eye on children at all times.
